Instructions

• Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease an 8-inch cake tin.
• Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
• In another bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, milk, oil and vanilla essence.
• Add the dry ingredients to the wet mix and stir until smooth.
• Pour in the hot water and mix gently.
• Add pinch of pink food colour and blend it in.
• Pour the batter into the tin and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
• Let it cool, then frost and decorate.
