UNITED KINGDOM — For British illusionist Ali Hussain, the most rewarding part of magic isn't the trick itself, but the brief moment of connection it creates between two people. After spending time performing in the UK, Hussain recently took his craft abroad to the vibrant markets of Morocco and Egypt, an experience he describes as deeply humbling.

Performing in environments where he didn't always speak the local language, Hussain found that magic served as a universal bridge. By focusing on "organic" illusions—simple, high-impact magic performed in everyday settings—he was able to share moments of surprise and laughter with people from completely different walks of life.

"It’s a privilege to see how a simple moment of wonder can bring a smile to someone’s face, regardless of where they are in the world," says Hussain. "In Morocco and Egypt, I was reminded that magic is a universal language. It’s not about being clever; it’s about that shared human experience of the impossible."
