JAKARTA, 24 October 2026 – XELTA.ai, Matchbest Group’s AI-native creative OS, has today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Lokanima Kreatif Nusantara (Lokanima 2.0), the creative-technology company of the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (SSEZ), Malang, East Java. The milestone agreement was announced at the Indonesia-India Creative-Tech Corridor forum held at Cinépolis Lippo Mall Nusantara. It was co-hosted by the Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency and the Embassy of India.
Under this MoU, the two organizations will work together on exploring AI-assisted production of short films, micro-dramas, and digital content by Indonesian creators using XELTA.ai tech. The cooperation will involve pilot projects in Bahasa Indonesia, hands-on training for local talent in the SSEZ, and Indonesia-native story development in line with Indonesian family values and culture. The work will take place within the Singhasari Creative-Tech Sandbox, a pilot ecosystem for talent, AI-assisted production, intellectual property, distribution, and investment.
Vishal Arya, the co-founder and CEO of Matchbest Group and XELTA.ai, stated that the partnership will enable Indonesian creators to present their works and promote their content to satisfy the needs and interests of modern audiences. “Indonesia has one of the world's most energetic creator communities and an extraordinary depth of stories. Xelta was built to close the distance between an idea and a finished creative, be it ads, microdrama, movies, or short films. With Lokanima and SSEZ, we want Indonesian creators to tell those stories in their own language, at the speed and quality today's audiences expect,” Arya said.
For SSEZ, the partnership also represents an opportunity to connect the region’s creative heritage with emerging technologies. David Santoso, CEO of the Singhasari Special Economic Zone, said: “Eight centuries ago, on the very land where SSEZ stands today, the Kingdom of Singhasari was a centre of engineering, art, learning and statecraft, a civilisation enriched by centuries of exchange with India. Today, with our partners from India, we are bringing that history back to life, this time by mastering the AI transformation. Our aim is to build new competitiveness for Indonesia in the new-technology and digital-content subsectors, with Indonesian talent and IP at its heart.”
The agreement also highlights Indonesia’s broader aspirations to harness the power of AI to spur economic growth, create jobs, and drive overall development. Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and Chairman of the National Council for Special Economic Zones of the Republic of Indonesia, remarked that: “Artificial intelligence is a game-changer for Indonesia's economic transformation. Indonesia does not intend to be a spectator or a mere consumer in the AI race; we intend to help shape it. Special Economic Zones allow us to turn that ambition into real productivity, skilled jobs for our young people, and new sources of growth on the path to 8 per cent. Partnership with India, a fellow digital powerhouse of the Global South, makes that journey faster and stronger.”
The cooperation also contributes to Indonesia’s initiatives to develop its digital-content industry and to promote intellectual property rights as an important asset. Teuku Riefky Harsya, Minister of Creative Economy and Head of the Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, said: “In the age of AI, a nation's greatest resource is no longer only what lies beneath its soil, but what lies within the imagination of its people. Through the Creative Economy Master Plan 2026–2045, Indonesia has made new technology and digital content formal subsectors, and we treat intellectual property as an economic asset: protected, used, financed and exported. AI is a collaborator, not a replacement for our creators. Our task is to make sure every Indonesian story can reach the world on Indonesian terms.”
Highlighting the cultural ties between the two countries, H.E. Shri Sandeep Chakravorty, Ambassador of India to Indonesia, said that the corridor will build on the shared heritage of the two countries while at the same time opening new avenues for creative cooperation. Chakravorty added, “For more than a thousand years, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have lived in Indonesia's temples, its wayang and its imagination. Today, India and Indonesia are writing the next chapter of that shared story with artificial intelligence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi called our new initiatives a ‘golden chapter’ in India–Indonesia relations, and this Corridor carries that spirit into the creative economy: Indian technology and Indonesian talent co-creating stories the world will want to watch. From IIM Bangalore's planned campus to today's partnerships, Singhasari is becoming a natural meeting point for our two nations. We look forward to welcoming Indonesia's creators to WAVES 2027 in Mumbai.”
Notably, XELTA.ai brings over 100 AI models into a unified workspace, while Content Flow, its engine, can generate a script, storyboard, images, and video from a single prompt. Its Micro-drama Creator can produce multi-episode narratives up to an hour long with consistent characters. The platform is accessible on the web, iOS, and Android.
XELTA.ai is one of the key partners signing MoUs with Lokanima 2.0 at the forum, and the partners intend to carry this collaboration forward to WAVES 2027, Mumbai.
