Planning an Umrah journey involves several important steps, including choosing flights, booking hotels in Makkah and Madinah, arranging transfers and completing visa requirements. AL Islam Travels, an established Umrah travel agency in London, helps pilgrims bring these arrangements together through one simple booking process.

Many families and first-time pilgrims prefer working with a specialist travel company because it reduces the time spent comparing different websites and providers. Having one team manage flights, accommodation, transfers and visa support can make planning easier and more organised.

AL Islam Travels advises pilgrims to begin by choosing suitable travel dates and confirming their departure airport. Flights can be arranged from London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and other UK airports, depending on availability and travel season.

When comparing Umrah packages, pilgrims should ask for written confirmation of what is included. Flights, hotel names, room types, airport transfers, transport between Makkah and Madinah and visa assistance should all be clearly listed before payment.

Hotel location remains one of the most important considerations. A hotel close to Masjid al-Haram in Makkah or near the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah can save time and provide greater comfort, particularly for elderly pilgrims and families travelling with children. Asking for the hotel address and walking distance in writing can help travellers make informed decisions.

Price differences often depend on travel dates, hotel category, room sharing and flight options. Ramadan, school holidays and peak seasons usually see increased demand, making early booking beneficial for securing preferred hotels and flights.

Since June 2025, Saudi authorities require hotel contracts to be documented through the Nusuk Masar platform before an Umrah visa is issued. Working with an experienced provider that manages this process can help avoid unnecessary delays.

AL Islam Travels offers Umrah packages, Hajj packages, visa services, flights, hotel bookings and holiday packages for customers across the UK. Pilgrims looking for guidance can contact the team at [email protected] or visit alislamtravels.co.uk to discuss travel plans and available options.
