A Shared Vision for Advancing Brain and Learning Research.

Posted May 5, 2026 by andrewmandela

Proud to receive the Troland Research Award, reflecting a shared vision of advancing neuroscience research to improve learning and human potential globally.

At its core, my work is about understanding human potential. How do we learn? How do we grow? And how can we support that growth more effectively?

These questions drive my research and shape my approach to science. They also highlight the importance of collaboration, innovation, and persistence.

The recognition from the National Academy of Sciences is a significant milestone, but it is also a reminder of the responsibility that comes with it—to continue pushing boundaries and making a difference.

The journey of discovery is ongoing, and I am excited to see where it leads next.
