Amb. Dr. Witney Emmanuel Laizer takes us through her professional pathway that integrates finance with academic research, and shares with us about her professional journey that she made into academia with GlobalX Publications.

Witney's career spans a broad range of experience including finance administration, accounting, billing, collections, reporting, sales, marketing, and general business operations.

Her career is shaped by her work experience in Tanzania and the Netherlands, experienced through the application of business practices in the workplace as well as higher education studies. She is currently a Senior Billing & Collection Administrator at Macrogen Europe BV.

In her current role, she supports billing and collections activities, monitors account activities, follows up on payment, handles financial administration, and participates in reporting activities. In addition to her current role at Macrogen, she gained work experience in finance, administration, accounting, billing, collections, customer service, sales, marketing, and business administration through work experiences at Greenlane, Alter Domus, Delta Electronics, and Wittenborg University.

Witney has a PhD in Business, Management, Public health & Sustainability from Selinus University, an MBA from the University of the People and a BBA in Economics & Finance Management from Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences and was studying Data Analytics at Ironhack.

Witney's PhD research goes beyond general finance management into healthcare sustainability. Her research looks into the sustainability problem in the Healthcare service industry in Germany with a focus on resource utilization, innovation, digitalisation, waste management, sustainable management, and stakeholder collaboration.
