ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – Roosevelt International University (RIU) continues to promote 'transparency' as an integral part of its ongoing institutional growth and student centered educational philosophy.

Deciding on a university is a crucial life decision that can have bearing on the education that a student may want to pursue, the career opportunities available to them, and even the further education plans they have. Provide students with transparency regarding their programs, admission criteria, academic standards and status.

Through various online programs, RIU strives to bring educational opportunities to students in the fields of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, ministry, theological, and leadership. Although located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the university is aware of the need for flexibility in its programs.

In addition to its academic activities, institutional priorities at RIU include administrative development, student support, faculty development and quality assurance. Aspects such as open access institutional information and transparent policies are among these.

Qualification recognition and accreditation may be especially important for those who plan to study at an international school or university or through online instruction. Recognition of qualification depends on the university, program, destination and/or professional or educational body.

The Florida Commission for Independent Education, an entity within the Florida Department of Education, has regulatory authority over independent postsecondary institutions. This regulatory authority does not imply accreditation. Those considering attendance at an independent postsecondary institution should check the appropriate record and, where relevant, the accrediting agency.

RIU intends to promote well-informed decision making and so ensure that clear, accurate communication and appropriate institutional behaviour remain central to university life. As the University continues to develop, the systems which underpins student engagement and academic programmes will be considered.

To help promote an open and transparent decision-making process, RIU encourages prospective students to read program information and disclosures from institutions.
