ST. PETERSBURG, Florida – As students weigh their educational options and look to the future in their careers, Roosevelt International University (RIU) is promoting the importance of well-informed educational planning.

There are several things to consider when choosing a higher education program. Factors such as curriculum, eligibility, study mode, time required, and qualification needed are important things to know about in order to make the best choices about the kind of programs that will be useful to the student.

The St. Petersburg, Florida, location of RIU offers university education for undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, ministry, theological, and leadership programs. The RIU system's educations programs are adaptable to differing student interests and needs.

In order for academic plans to be effective, the university understands that they must be based upon good institution data. Students will need to have a clear understanding of the program they are pursuing, what completing it entails and any other requirements for future use.

The focus remains on strengthening academic administration, assessing students' documents, communication, and student support services. The agenda continues as part of RIU's institutional development.

"Another aspect to consider is institutional status. The Commission for Independent Education, a division of the Florida Department of Education, is responsible for concerns regarding independent postsecondary institutions. Authorization, licensing and academic accreditation are three separate statuses and should be checked by the student through the appropriate agency.

Those who plan to take a qualification for the purpose of progression to further study, employment or licensing should also verify the requirements of the relevant organisation.

RSU strives to promote a more enlightened higher education experience through a focus on transparency, sound institutional practices and on-going learning.
