Roosevelt International University (RIU) is celebrating the flexibility of higher education that helps students advance in their academic studies, develop leadership abilities and advance their careers.

RIU is a school located in St. Petersburg, Florida, that seeks to offer educational opportunities for the students with diversified backgrounds, interests and career aspirations. It offers academic programs and degree programs for undergraduates, graduates, doctoral, ministry, theological and leadership related programs, bringing a wide range of focus to knowledge creation and lifelong learning.

Flexibility may be a consideration for those who are working or for international learners. Learning opportunities can be offered online to meet a student's study needs but also take into account their professional and personal responsibilities to build knowledge that supports their aspirations.

Responsible management and clear communication are also a key part of RIU's institutional development. Students should have factual information regarding content of the program, admission criteria, academic policies, fees (if applicable), and the institution and its credentials.

In Florida, the Commission for Independent Education (CIE) is within the Florida Department of Education (DE) and regulates independent postsecondary education. The terms State licensing, authorization and accreditation are not synonymous. Students should seek the appropriate verification of status and be aware of implications for credit transfer, continued studies and professional needs.

In the field of academic administration, RIU is continuing to work on improving professors' teaching quality, student service quality, and faculty engagement and quality assurance.

The goal of the university is to help people gain access to education, and to to help them make informed decisions regarding their education and their future careers. Continuous improvement of institutions is the way that RIU looks to build learning opportunities that meet the needs of a diverse student body.
