PETERSBURG, Florida -Academic communication is a significant component of Roosevelt International University's current ongoing institution building process in Florida.

It is important for students considering colleges or university options to be crystal clear every step of the way, from the requirements for admission to the prerequisites for courses and the next steps in their academic or career plans. Clearer communication can help students to get a better idea of what they will be studying and what is expected of them.

RIU, located in St. Petersburg, provides academic programs in undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, ministry, theological, and leadership disciplines. In order to serve as many students as possible, the university employs a flexible mode of education.

In its development, RIU is reviewing academic policies, improving the administrative procedures, enriching students' services, and providing an easier access to program information. These are the key priorities for the achievement of its overarching goal: ensuring transparent institution practices.

Institutional communication must also be accurate when referring to authorization, approval, and accreditation. The Florida Department of Education's Commission for Independent Education also has a role in overseeing independent postsecondary institutions; however, state regulatory status does not necessarily equal academic accreditation.

All our courses consist of multiple aims relating to academic study, future study, regulated profession, or employment use. RIU acknowledges that not all students will have the same needs in achieving one or more of the aims and, where that is the case, students should check the relevant requirements of the academy, employer or professional body/license, as the case may be.

By maintaining their focus on communication and administration, RIU hopes to facilitate further interaction with students and academics. As part of responsible institutional growth and education planning, RIU considers transparent and shared information vital.
