FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Top 1% REALTOR Andy Yau of RE/MAX Shoreline Lists 3 Auburn Street in Dover, a 4-Bedroom Cape Steps From Willand Pond
Fresh listing arrives as New Hampshire's new-listing count drops sharply heading into winter
DOVER, N.H., Nov. 4, 2026 — As New Hampshire's housing market enters its seasonal slowdown, buyers are facing fewer fresh options. According to the latest New Hampshire REALTORS and PrimeMLS report, 1,665 single-family homes were newly listed statewide in September 2026, down from a 2026 peak of 2,082 in June. Inventory stood at just 2.9 months of supply, well short of the five to seven months generally considered balanced.
New listings typically drop sharply in November. Last year, they fell from 1,505 in October to 784 in November, nearly half.
"November is when a lot of sellers wait for spring, so buyers who are still looking have fewer choices," said Andy Yau, a Top 1% REALTOR with RE/MAX Shoreline. "A fresh listing like this really stands out right now."
Against that backdrop, Yau today announced the listing of 3 Auburn Street in Dover, a four-bedroom Cape set on an oversized 0.46-acre lot less than a two-minute walk from Willand Pond. The home is offered at $470,000. An open house is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Built in 1980, the 1,796-square-foot residence offers one-floor living, with two bedrooms and a full bath on the main level. Hardwood floors run throughout the first floor, and the home features a newly installed heating system. A partially finished lower level provides flexible space for a game room, family room or home office.
The property sits in sought-after Dover zoning with potential to subdivide. Prospective buyers are encouraged to verify subdivision options with the city of Dover.
The home's location near Willand Pond offers year-round recreation. According to the city of Dover, the pond is stocked with trout, and anglers also fish it for bass. A trail follows the northern shoreline. The pond carries a notable history: in 1890, Henry Burgett opened Burgett Park, later renamed Central Park, on its shore, and electric trolleys carried visitors from Dover and Somersworth to dances, concerts and boating. The original trolley depot building on High Street in Somersworth still stands near the trailhead. The home is also centrally located near groceries, restaurants and major routes.
"This is the kind of house buyers have been asking me for all year," Yau said. "You can live on one floor, you've got room to spread out downstairs and on the lot, and you can walk to the pond with a fishing rod in under two minutes. That's hard to find in Dover at this price."
"I raised my family in this house, and it's been full of so much love and so many memories," the seller said. "Summer evenings down at the pond, holidays around the table, kids growing up in the yard. It's time for another family to make this home their own, and I hope they love it as much as we did."
