Ingredients
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

• ½ cups unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cups granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs

• 1 tablespoons orange zest (from 1 large orange)
• 0.3 cups fresh orange juice
• 0.3 cups whole milk

Frosting
• 1 cups unsalted butter, softened
• 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
• 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
• 1 teaspoons orange zest
• 1 tablespoons heavy cream
• Pinch of orange food color from Anuja Food Colours

Steps
• Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
• Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
• In a bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoons baking powder.
• Set aside.
• Beat ½ cups unsalted butter, softened and 1 cups granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy
• Add 2 large eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
• Add few drops of vanilla essence and 1 tablespoons orange zest (from 1 large orange).
• Add pinch of orange food color, gel preferred until the batter turns a bright, even orange.
• With the mixer on low, add the dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with a mix of 0.3 cups fresh orange juice and 0.3 cups whole milk (starting and ending with flour).
• Fill the cupcake liners about ⅔ full with batter. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
• Cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
• Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.

Make orange buttercream:
• Beat 1 cups unsalted butter until smooth and creamy.
• Gradually mix in 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted, then add 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice, 1 teaspoons orange zest, 1 tablespoons heavy cream, and 0.3 teaspoons orange food coloring.
• Beat on high for 2–2m until fluffy.
• Adjust color with extra food coloring as needed.

Frost and decorate:
• Pipe or spread the orange buttercream generously onto each cooled cupcake.
• Garnish with a slice of orange, orange zest curls, or orange sprinkles for a stunning finish!
• Serve and enjoy!
