• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1½ cups sugar
• ½ cup butter (softened)
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup milk

For the Pink Frosting
• 1 cup butter (softened)
• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
• Preheat the oven to 180°C.
• Grease a round cake tin and line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
• In a bowl, sift together the flour and baking powder.
• In another large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
• Add the eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Add few drops of vanilla essence.
• Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk.
• Mix gently until the batter becomes smooth.
• Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin.
• Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
• Allow the cake to cool completely before applying the frosting.
Prepare the Pink Frosting
• Beat the butter in a bowl until creamy.
