Retired police officer Patricia Kawa'a is excited to announce her first children's book, "Cats in the Window." The book showcases cats' quirky characteristics and the animals and individuals they see through the window, such as bright green lizards, kids playing football, and house visitors. Additionally, the book shows how happy pets can make us when we take good care of them.
"Patricia Kawa'a got the idea for 'Cats in the Window' from her experiences with her beloved cats and her love for children's books. "I was watching my cats at home one day and started to imagine what they might be thinking. The story came to me naturally from that moment on," Kawa'a said. This spontaneous creativity is clear in the book's charming storyline and engaging style.

Author Background
Before starting her journey as an author, Patricia Kawa'a enjoyed a fulfilling career as a police officer and her duty as a School Liaison Officer in elementary schools, where she created numerous lesson plans for K-6th graders. Her love for children's books and joy in seeing a child's face light up while reading have significantly influenced her writing. Kawa'a holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and lives in Prescott, AZ, with her husband.
