Required under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, this LOA formalizes Bangladeshi government approval for the international transfer of generated ITMOs, making ATEC the first clean cooking developer to receive an LOA in Bangladesh.
The Electric Cooking Program will deploy induction stoves in Chattogram division and deliver 1,290,011 tCO2e in total emission reductions by 2030.

Registered under Gold Standard’s Metered & Measured Energy Cooking Devices (MECD) Version 2.0 (Method 2), the program back-calculates baseline energy usage through a Continuously Tracked Energy Consumption (CTEC) framework.

The program monitors and tracks real-time household usage from all the distributed high-efficiency IoT-induction cookstoves. The emission reduction data generated is digitally verifiable and auditable with the first issuance expected in December 2026.
Aligning with Article 6.2 and corresponding adjustment requirements, Bangladesh is creating the policy environment needed to attract international investment while accelerating the transition to clean cooking for thousands of households.
