Pune: With the support of Quick Heal Foundation, students of Kaveri College conducted a Cyber Awareness Campaign at Rajiv Gandhi Academy, Parvati, to promote cyber safety and responsible digital behaviour among school students.

The campaign aimed to create awareness about cyber security, safe internet usage, protection of personal information, online fraud and various cyber threats. The Kaveri College Cyber Warriors explained the importance of staying alert while using digital platforms and encouraged students to develop safe and responsible online habits.

Through interactive presentations, discussions and real-life examples, students were educated about protecting passwords and personal information, identifying suspicious messages and links, recognizing different types of online fraud and avoiding unsafe digital practices. The importance of verifying information before responding to online requests and maintaining privacy on social media platforms was also highlighted.

Around 1,400 students of Rajiv Gandhi Academy participated in the campaign. The programme focused on making students aware that simple precautions and responsible decision-making can help protect them from cybercrime and online threats.

The message “Stay Cyber Safe and Protect Yourself from Online Threats” was conveyed to the students, encouraging them to remain vigilant and use technology responsibly. The campaign also emphasized the role of young people in promoting cyber awareness among their peers, families and communities.

The initiative provided students with practical knowledge to navigate the digital world safely and confidently. It also highlighted the importance of cyber security education in schools, particularly as young people increasingly use smartphones, social media, online learning platforms and other digital services.

The campaign was coordinated by Gaurangi Shinde and Shreya Kalke. The support of Quick Heal Foundation contributed to the successful implementation of the awareness programme and helped strengthen the message of cyber safety among a large number of students.
