July 11, 2026 — Softaken, a developer of email conversion, data recovery and productivity software, today announced the release of Remove Blank Lines, a free online tool that removes empty lines from pasted text with a single click. The tool is available now at softaken.com/online/remove-blank-lines and it doesn’t require any account, download or file upload.
When text is copied from PDFs, spreadsheets, or other formatted documents, blank lines often appear, often making lists, notes, and exports harder to read or reuse. That’s where Remove Blank Lines comes in. It allows the user to paste text into the tool, click a button, and get back an instantly cleaned version with all of the empty lines removed. Lines containing real content (plus any leading or trailing spaces) are left alone.

“This is a small but persistent irritation for anyone who works with text on a regular basis,” said a Softaken spokesperson.

All text is processed locally in the user’s browser using JavaScript. No data is sent or stored on Softaken’s servers and nothing is saved after the browser tab is closed. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari on desktop and on mobile. It can process documents with thousands of lines.
