Baar (November 3, 2026) – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is hosting a webinar, ‘China Toy Safety: Understanding the New GB 6675 Standards,’ on November 24, 2026.

China’s updated GB 6675 toy safety standards take effect in November 2026, introducing changes to physical, mechanical, flammability and chemical requirements, as well as China Compulsory Certification (CCC). For manufacturers, brands and retailers placing toys on the Chinese market, understanding the changes is important when preparing for product testing and certification.

During the webinar, SGS toy safety experts Hing Wo Tsang and Julian Kwok will explain the key changes to GB 6675.1, GB 6675.2, GB 6675.3 and GB 6675.4. They will cover physical and mechanical requirements, flammability, migration of certain elements and new chemical requirements, including requirements for TVOC, SCCP, azo dyes, formaldehyde, PAHs, nitrosamines, formamide and allergenic fragrances.

The speakers will also explain how the updated standards relate to CCC, helping attendees identify the requirements relevant to toys intended for the Chinese market and understand the implications for testing, certification and market access.

The webinar is designed for toy manufacturers, brands, retailers and quality assurance, technical, product safety and compliance professionals involved in manufacturing or placing toys on the Chinese market. The 45-minute English-language session will take place at 10:00 AM CET and will conclude with a Q&A.
