The Macintosh facility at Lakeland Electric has undergone a transformation in recent years. The “ Peaker “ unit, an integral component of the power plant, was disassembled and moved from a previous location to the Macintosh plant where it will be reassembled by Rayco Industrial and repainted by Industrial Painting Solutions. The coal fired plant provides power to over two million people from Orlando to Tampa.
