Primary Angioplasty
A coronary angioplasty, also known as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), is a surgical procedure that is used to widen blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. It is a non-invasive form of surgery, which does not involve making major incisions in the body. In certain emergencies, timely intervention is required. Angioplasty done during this phase is called primary angioplasty. At BMBHRC, we ensure that the time from the door to the needle is less than 90 minutes, to ensure that heart muscles are not damaged.
