Stuttgart, 7 November 2026 — A supplier check is not a single rating or a search for a reassuring headline. Projektkanal, Stuttgart, is outlining how buyers can combine public sources before ordering internationally or sending an advance, including when sourcing from China.
One starting point is Scamadviser: enter the exact domain and review the information underlying its assessment. Compare the stated business history with domain age and available WHOIS records. Automated evaluations are supplementary and may be incomplete or outdated; neither a high nor a low score establishes how a particular order will turn out.
Then investigate buyer experiences. Search the company name, trading aliases and domain on PissedConsumer, Sitejabber/SmartCustomer and ComplaintsBoard. Read dated accounts and responses, verify which legal business is described, and distinguish repeated copies from separate experiences. The foreign-trade.com blacklist and Ripoff Report can provide historical complaints. Retain later outcomes: Ripoff Report 1505833 was updated by its author as “Issue Resolved”. Reports are their authors’ statements, not judicial findings. No search hits does not mean no risk.
Legal identity requires another check. Compare the proposed contract, invoice and beneficiary with registry information. Verify a mainland Chinese USCC or use the appropriate Hong Kong register. Relevant ICP records may clarify a site operator. Related domains and shared servers are leads for questions, not proof of a shell-company network or misconduct.
A brief buyer example concerns a USD 1,000 Alibaba deposit by a small German retailer to a supplier presented as Jinjiang Jiaxing Group, jiaxing-groups[.]com. The receipt names JINJIANG JIAXING IMPORT AND EXPORT CO., LIMITED, Hong Kong. According to the buyer, production had not begun within the promised 10–12-day delivery window; an off-platform alternative followed and a refund was requested. An earlier search could have located foreign-trade.com 629/620 and ComplaintsBoard c1089231/c1297372. The seller’s position is unknown here; no court decision is cited.
Research should lead to clear pre-order questions about the factory, any trading intermediary and responsibility for specifications. Consider a small test order and a live video factory audit. Examine actual Trade Assurance or escrow terms, evidence requirements and claim deadlines before paying or accepting a move off-platform. No public tool replaces that contractual review.
