CLAREMONT, CA — The pickup time is 10:00.

Great. But where exactly are you meeting the driver?

How much luggage is coming along? Is there another stop after the first one? What if the person you're collecting has a few extra bags? And if the day runs late by half an hour, does the transportation plan still work?

These are not especially exciting questions. They are also the sort of things people remember when they haven't been figured out.

Byrd Limousine, a Claremont-based chauffeured transportation company, says the details around a journey can be just as useful to consider as the journey itself.

“People usually know where they're going,” said a Byrd Limousine representative. “It's the bits around it that can get missed. They have a meeting before the pickup, luggage they didn't think about, another person joining the trip. Suddenly the simple two-hour plan isn't quite so simple.”

Vehicle choice is one example.

A sedan may work perfectly for one passenger with a small bag. Add three people, several suitcases or equipment for an event and the calculation changes. Byrd's fleet includes sedans, luxury SUVs, stretch limousines, classic cars, Hummer limousines and party buses for different types of trips.

Timing can shift too.

A private car may be needed for several stops rather than one pickup and one drop-off. For a business traveller, that could mean moving between meetings. For a family, it might be an airport followed by a hotel or another destination. Building those stops into the plan from the start can make the day less messy.

For people looking for Car Service in Claremont California, the point isn't necessarily to plan every minute down to the second. It is knowing which details could cause trouble if nobody thinks about them beforehand.

Byrd Limousine provides door-to-door chauffeured transportation for airport travel, corporate trips, private journeys, weddings, events and other occasions. The company serves Claremont and surrounding Southern California communities.
