ChargePapa has expanded its V2L lineup with two new 5kW high-power EV discharger models built for U.S. and EU output use. The new products are designed for EV owners who need a stronger vehicle-to-load power path than a standard low-power V2L adapter can provide.
The two additions are ChargePapa V2L-US and ChargePapa V2L-EU. Both are positioned as high-power EV dischargers rather than conventional EV chargers. Their role is to draw energy from a compatible EV battery and convert it into usable AC output for external loads.
ChargePapa V2L-US is built for U.S.-style output scenarios and is offered in NACS and CCS1 input versions. ChargePapa V2L-EU is built for EU output scenarios with CCS2 input and 230V AC output.
The company says this product split is meant to reduce a common buying mistake in the V2L category: treating connector fit alone as the full decision. In practice, vehicle-side input, output environment, and real load planning all matter.
Both new products are framed around a 5kW continuous output class for more demanding portable power scenarios such as selected backup loads, mobile work setups, field use, and outdoor support.
ChargePapa says the wider goal is to make EV hardware easier to choose correctly through clearer product fit, practical specifications, and dependable support.
