PORTLAOISE, IRELAND — January 28, 2026 — Portlaoise is set to become a focal point for international faith-based broadcasting this week. Shalom World, the global Catholic television network, will officially launch its new Media Centre with a Thanksgiving Mass and Blessing Ceremony on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
The ceremony will be celebrated by the Most Rev. Denis Nulty, Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, at SS. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, beginning at 10:00 AM.
The establishment of this Media Centre marks a significant expansion for the award-winning network. Under the theme "From the heart of Portlaoise to every corner of the world," the facility is designed to produce and broadcast family-friendly, spiritual content to a global audience across more than 140 countries.
