Cottleville Animal Hospital is excited to announce the launch of its Puppy & Kitten Care program, providing expert preventive and wellness care for the youngest members of the community’s pet families. New pet parents can expect a personalized, compassionate approach that ensures their puppy or kitten receives everything needed for a lifetime of good health.

“Early veterinary visits are the foundation for a pet’s lifelong well-being,” said Dr. Claire King, one of the hospital’s dedicated veterinarians. “We focus not only on vaccines and parasite prevention but also on nutrition, socialization, and behavior guidance to help families feel confident caring for their new companions.”

Dr. King brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her practice. Growing up surrounded by a variety of pets, she developed a deep love for animals that led her to pursue a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Prince Edward Island’s Atlantic Veterinary College. She is Fear Free certified and a Certified Cat Friendly veterinarian, with special interests in soft tissue surgery, pain management, and preventative care.

Dr. Kelvin Urday also plays a key role in the Puppy & Kitten Care program. With a background that began in a mixed-animal practice in North Texas, Dr. Urday has dedicated his career to compassionate and comprehensive pet care. A graduate of the University of Missouri – Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, he emphasizes stress reduction, dermatology, and internal medicine in his approach to patient health.

“Our goal is to make every visit as calm and positive as possible,” said Dr. Urday. “We understand that the early experiences pets have with veterinary care can shape their comfort for life.”
