DesignNBuy, a web-to-print software provider used by more than 2,000 print businesses across over 60 countries, has released an update to its DesignO product design platform. The update introduces two major additions: a complete sticker product solution and a new Step & Repeat pattern design tool, both aimed at expanding the range of products print businesses can offer without adding separate design software to their workflow.
1. Sticker Product Support
The new sticker workflow covers die-cut, rectangle, oval, circle, and fully custom shape stickers within a single design interface. Rectangle and square stickers are designed with a clean cut edge suited to product labels, packaging, and promotional use, while oval and circle formats add further shape variety for branding and creative applications.
For custom shapes, customers can upload their own artwork and apply shape cuts directly using the platform's built-in art tools, allowing fully personalized sticker outlines rather than being limited to standard geometric formats. Customers can also add editable text directly over the uploaded image itself, a capability not commonly found in online sticker design tools, which typically restrict text to a separate layer rather than allowing it to sit directly on top of the artwork. Businesses can manage sticker orders from design through to production inside DesignO, without exporting files to separate prepress or vector-editing software.
2. Step & Repeat Pattern Tool
The second addition allows design elements to be duplicated automatically across a canvas rather than placed manually. Users can specify the number of copies, control spacing, and choose a repeat direction. An Auto Fill option adds pattern layouts including full drop, half drop, brick, center, vertical, and mirror repeats — techniques common in surface pattern and textile design but not typically available inside a browser-based product designer.
DesignNBuy says the tool is intended for businesses working in digital textile and fabric printing, wallpaper production, event backdrop printing, direct-to-film gang sheets, and repeating logo layouts — categories that have generally required separate graphic design software to generate a print-ready pattern file before production.
Abhishek Agarwal, CMO, DesignNBuy, said the two features were among the most consistently requested additions from the company's customer base. "Sticker products and repeat-pattern work like textiles and wallpaper both came up again and again as things our customers were handling outside their normal design tool, or not offering at all because of the extra software involved," Abhishek said. "Bringing both into DesignO means a business can add these product categories without asking their team to learn or license something new."
Nidhi Agarwal, CEO of DesignNBuy, said the update reflects the breadth of industries the platform serves. "Stickers and pattern-based products touch a lot of different businesses on our platform, from small print shops adding stickers as a new line, to larger operations doing textile or wallpaper work at scale," Nidhi Agarwal said. "The goal with this release was to make sure both of those customers get real, production-ready tools."
The sticker and Step & Repeat tools are available now to existing DesignO customers. Full details on both features, are available at https://www.designnbuy.com/news/whats-new-in-designo-complete-sticker-support-and-advanced-repeat-patterns/
