Baros Maldives will welcome guests to the festive season from 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027 with a programme inspired by the island’s natural surroundings, Maldivian heritage and the pleasures of gathering around good food.

The festive programme combines Christmas traditions, ocean adventures, intimate dining experiences and New Year celebrations, inviting guests to experience the holiday season in the distinctive spirit of Baros.

The celebrations begin with a Christmas Tree Lighting, followed by a programme of festive and cultural experiences. Guests can take part in a Christmas cookie workshop, discover Maldivian flavours and ingredients during an Ocean, Coconut & Spice cooking class, experience local traditions at a Maldivian Heritage Evening and browse the Island Christmas Market.

The ocean remains at the heart of the festive programme. Guests can enjoy a Sunrise Nooma sailing, sunrise or twilight fishing trips, house reef experiences with the island’s marine team and dolphin-watching cruises. Private yacht excursions, local island visits and trips to Malé also offer opportunities to explore beyond the resort.

Baros’ festive culinary programme features a selection of dining experiences across the island, including a Sake Pairing Dinner, Great Gatsby five-course dinner and Champagne Dinner inspired by the Seven Seas. Other highlights include a Butcher’s Block buffet, Omakase tasting lunch and Master Chef Tuna Carving Show & Tasting. Guests can also take part in wine discovery experiences, cocktail-making sessions and an Island Crafted Cocktails experience.

On Christmas Eve, guests will gather at The Lighthouse for a cocktail reception before continuing to Lime for the Christmas Eve Gala Dinner. Christmas Day will feature breakfast, festive activities and time to enjoy the beach, lagoon and island surroundings.

New Year’s Eve will begin with a cocktail reception followed by a Gala Dinner, live entertainment and the countdown to 2027. New Year’s Day will start with a celebratory brunch, followed by a selection of wellbeing and dining experiences, including a beachfront degustation dinner accompanied by live violin and saxophone.

Younger guests will also have their own festive activities, including mocktail workshops, Christmas cookie making and island adventures designed to encourage young explorers to discover Baros.

Throughout the festive season, live music, marine presentations, yoga and meditation will complement the programme, alongside the simple pleasures of island life such as swimming in the lagoon, relaxing beneath the palms and enjoying the sunset by the sea.
