Pan Pacific Hotels Group, the hospitality arm of Singapore based UOL Group Limited, has signed a management agreement to operate PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay, marking another milestone in the Group’s strategic expansion across Southeast Asia’s growing long stay segment.
Located in Metro Manila, the Philippines’ financial and commercial centre, the new property will form part of a two tower mixed use development comprising offices, retail space, and serviced suites. Scheduled to open in the first half of 2027, the development will feature 169 suites, including studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom configurations designed to cater to corporate travellers, relocating executives, families, and extended leisure guests.
Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, noted that travel patterns across Southeast Asia are evolving, with longer stays increasingly driven by corporate relocations, project based assignments, multi generational travel, and blended work and leisure trips. He highlighted the Philippines as a key market in this trend, with Metro Manila emerging as a hub for enterprise, innovation, and conventions.
The expansion comes amid strong economic and tourism growth in the Philippines. The country remains one of the fastest growing economies in the region, with continued expansion forecast over the coming years. International arrivals have also rebounded strongly, with sustained growth since the pandemic and increasing average lengths of stay. Visitors are now staying for more than eleven nights on average, fuelling demand for premium long stay accommodation in the capital.
Hotel occupancy in Metro Manila remains robust, supported by both leisure and corporate demand. This healthy operating environment further reinforces the attractiveness of the market for professionally managed serviced residences.
The signing of PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay aligns with the Group’s Version 2.0 growth roadmap, which focuses on strengthening and refining its portfolio in response to evolving guest needs. A key pillar of this strategy is the long stay segment, where flexibility, comfort, and hotel level assurance are increasingly sought after by modern travellers.
Across Asia Pacific, demand for serviced apartments continues to show strong momentum. Pan Pacific Hotels Group has refreshed its PARKROYAL Serviced Suites brand to incorporate future ready concepts that combine residential comfort with curated services, intuitive technology, and sustainability focused design.
With Manila joining the Group’s expanding portfolio, Pan Pacific Hotels Group continues to shape the future of extended stay hospitality, delivering thoughtfully designed spaces that support how guests live, work, and connect in today’s dynamic travel landscape.
