O'FALLON, IL: Fairview Heights Animal Clinic & Animal Hospital of O'Fallon is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Melissa McDearmon, DVM, to its growing team of veterinary professionals. Dr. McDearmon joined the practice part-time before transitioning to a full-time role on August 24, 2026. She brings a strong academic foundation and hands-on clinical training to the practice's veterinary team, serving pets and their families at both locations in Fairview Heights and O’Fallon.

Dr. McDearmon earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois and furthered her clinical training by completing a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. This post-doctoral training provided additional experience in small animal medicine and surgery and supports her ability to provide thoughtful veterinary care to companion animals.

Patients at both clinic locations will benefit from Dr. McDearmon's training in small animal medicine and surgery and her commitment to animal well-being. Her background allows her to contribute to wellness care, medical consultations, and surgical cases, giving pet owners access to individualized veterinary care close to home.
