Fusion Business Solutions (P) Limited (FBSPL), a global consulting-led, AI-enabled business solutions provider, brought its next-generation insurance AI capabilities to Applied Net 2026

Applied Net 2026 took place from September 28 to October 1 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, marking the conference's first appearance in Washington, D.C. Bringing together more than 4,400 attendees and over 100 exhibitors, the event featured more than 250 educational sessions covering the priorities shaping the insurance industry.

With AI featuring prominently throughout the event, FBSPL brought a distinct operational perspective to conversations with insurance agencies, brokerages, and managing general agents (MGAs). Attendees expressed interest in solutions that could work alongside their existing agency management systems (AMS), address time-intensive insurance activities, and combine automation with experienced professionals.

The discussions also brought attention to an important consideration in insurance technology adoption: businesses need more than access to AI tools. They need to understand where technology fits, what operational changes it requires, and how its impact can be evaluated.

ARIA: Connecting Operational Readiness with Measurable Business Value

A notable point of interest at the FBSPL booth was ARIA (Audit, Recommend, Implement, Analyze), the company's consulting-led framework for improving operations through a structured combination of process expertise, human support, and technology.

While AI tools featured prominently across the event, ARIA prompted attendees to explore a broader question: how can insurance businesses determine what needs improvement before deciding what to automate?

The framework begins by evaluating an organization's people, processes, and technology to identify operational gaps. These findings guide recommendations on which workflows require improvement, where additional expertise is needed, and which activities are suitable for automation. Implementation establishes clear ownership and operating standards, while the Analyze stage measures outcomes and identifies opportunities for further improvement.

ARIA also incorporates subsequent re-audits, allowing FBSPL to revisit implemented changes, assess performance, and address challenges that may emerge as business requirements evolve.

This approach reflects a principle central to FBSPL's technology philosophy: AI should be built around the realities of insurance operations, with ongoing attention to how effectively it serves the business.

"Many companies develop AI tools based on the challenges they observe in insurance. At FBSPL, we have experienced those challenges firsthand. Our teams have worked within these processes, managed their complexities, and understood where operations need improvement. That experience shapes the AI we build, allowing us to develop solutions grounded in how insurance businesses actually work," said Kuldeep Bhatnagar, Vice President, Client Success & Growth at FBSPL.

Insurance AI That Speaks to Real Business Challenges

Alongside ARIA, FBSPL showcased nine purpose-built insurance AI solutions: InputOne, ProposalOne, PolicyLens, AutoSign, QuoteFlow, LossRun, Doc Renaming, Quote Compare, and Renewal Intelligence.

Developed around specific insurance workflows, these capabilities support activities such as submission intake, policy review, quotation comparison, proposal preparation, document processing, and renewal management. Policy checking and quotation-related capabilities drew particular interest during conversations at the event. These activities often involve reviewing complex documents, comparing information across multiple sources, and identifying discrepancies, making them relevant applications for AI-assisted processing.

Discussions with prospective clients, including representatives from MGAs, also highlighted interest in combining intelligent automation with experienced insurance professionals. Questions around AMS compatibility further emphasized the importance of introducing technology that can work alongside established systems and processes.

For FBSPL, these exchanges reinforced the value of its integrated approach, bringing together operational experience, structured processes, and purpose-built technology to address the everyday requirements of insurance businesses.

Trust, Privacy, and Security at the Core of Insurance AI

As AI takes on a greater role in insurance operations, data protection and operational reliability remain critical considerations. Insurance businesses handle sensitive policyholder information and complex workflows, making trust an essential part of technology adoption.

FBSPL's approach considers these requirements alongside functionality and efficiency, recognizing that reliable AI must be developed and implemented with appropriate attention to security, privacy, and operational control.

"Insurance businesses are increasingly recognizing the potential of AI, but capability alone does not build confidence. They need assurance that their data is protected, their processes remain dependable, and the technology can be trusted in everyday operations. At FBSPL, privacy, security, and responsible AI development are central to how we approach innovation," said Virendra Pandey, Chief Technology Officer at FBSPL.

By combining technology development with insurance domain knowledge and operational consulting, FBSPL aims to support businesses in adopting AI without overlooking the responsibilities that come with handling sensitive information and business-critical processes.

Carrying the Momentum Forward: FBSPL's Vision for Insurance AI

FBSPL's participation at Applied Net 2026 provided an opportunity to demonstrate how its operational experience informs technology development while gaining direct insight into the priorities of insurance businesses.

The response to ARIA, interest in workflow-specific AI capabilities, and discussions around AMS compatibility and human expertise identified areas of continued relevance for the company's technology and consulting strategy.

Building on these insights, FBSPL will continue developing its insurance AI capabilities, with particular attention to practical workflow applications, integration with existing technology environments, and ongoing performance evaluation.

Through ARIA and its expanding AI ecosystem, FBSPL aims to help insurance businesses make informed technology decisions, maximize the value of existing resources, and strengthen the operational foundations needed for sustainable growth.
