A new highlight of the campaign this year is the National Art & Cololouring Contest, inviting people of all ages and cultural backgrounds across Canada to draw and colour lanterns, a traditional symbol of hope and warmth in many Asian cultures. Selected entries and winners will be featured at the upcoming Community Celebration: “A Mid-Autumn Night’s Dream” on September 27, 2025, in Downtown Markham.

Contest prizes are generously supported by Pandora and Ferris Wheel Press. The deadline for submissions is September 20, 2025. Contest materials and entry details are available at www.fetechinoise.ca/love-at-midautumn-2025-art-contest.

“A Mid-Autumn Night’s Dream” will take place at the Pride of Canada Carousel on September 27, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Guests can look forward to an enchanting evening featuring live performances by the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra alongside local performers, as well as carousel rides and a variety of family-friendly activities. The festive atmosphere will include delicious food and a lively marketplace showcasing local vendors, along with photo opportunities to capture the spirit of the occasion. An art exhibition will highlight the winning entries from the National Art & Colouring Contest, and interactive stations will invite guests to enjoy lantern riddles, colouring, crafts, and more. Families and community members are warmly invited to celebrate the joy and traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival together.

Tickets for the event are now available at www.fetechinoise.ca, priced at $28 per person or $50 for a two-person package.
