YQXPOLYMER: Your Trusted Source for High-Performance CSM Rubber
As a well-established manufacturer specializing in high-performance polymers and modified resins, YQXPOLYMER is proud to introduce our full line of Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSM) — a premium alternative to legacy Hypalon — now available for global delivery.
Our production capacity reaches 5,000 tons per year, with in-house chlorosulfonation technology, offering grades from Mooney 30 to 110 and chlorine content from 25% to 43%. We supply raw gum, pre-compounded rubber, or thermoplastic sheet, and provide documentation (TDS, REACH, RoHS) for international compliance.
What Makes CSM Rubber Stand Out
CSM rubber is derived from polyethylene by chlorosulfonation, creating a saturated backbone with chlorine and sulfonyl-chloride functional groups. This chemical structure gives CSM a unique combination of properties: excellent resistance to ozone, ultraviolet (UV) light, weather aging; strong chemical resistance against acids, alkalis, oils, and oxidizing agents; and good flame resistance, abrasion resistance, and wide temperature tolerance (from –40 °C up to +150 °C, with short-term higher heat tolerance).
These traits make CSM a top choice for demanding environments and applications where durability and reliability are critical.
CSM Grades & Their Typical Applications
Grade Typical Mooney Viscosity (ML 1+4 @100°C) / Hardness Typical Applications
CSM-30 Mooney ~ 30–40 → relatively soft to medium Flexible seals, general-purpose linings, cable jackets, weather-strips, soft hose linings. Great for coatings, linings where flexibility and chemical/weather resistance matter.
CSM-40 Mooney ~ 40–50 → medium hardness Industrial hoses, chemical-resistant linings, molded goods, cable sheathing, protective coatings, rubber-coated fabrics. Suitable for applications requiring a balance of mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and environmental stability.
CSM-45 (or higher-viscosity grades) Mooney ~ 45–55 (or more), higher hardness High-performance seals and gaskets, fuel and oil hoses, marine cables, offshore or chemical-industry applications, demanding rubber rollers, anti-corrosion coatings, hoses for aggressive chemicals or fuels. Offers superior tear strength, heat resistance, abrasion resistance and long-term stability under harsh conditions.
In our production line, YQXPOLYMER offers corresponding CSM-403, CSM-503, CSM-603, CSM-703 and other grades matching or even improving on classic Hypalon® performance standards.
Real-World Application Sectors
CSM rubber from YQXPOLYMER serves a wide array of sectors:
Automotive industry — fuel hoses, brake hoses, weather-strips, seals and gaskets exposed to oils, fuels, heat, and aging.
Electrical & cables — cable sheathing and insulation, wire jackets for industrial, marine, or underground cables requiring chemical, moisture, and UV resistance.
Marine & offshore — hose covers, marine cable jackets, inflatable products, protective coatings for saltwater exposure; outdoor durability against UV, ozone, and aging.
Chemical industry — tank linings, pipe linings, gasket/seals in chemical processing equipment, chemical-resistant hoses, and protective membranes.
Construction & infrastructure — waterproofing membranes, geomembranes, rubber-coated fabrics for heavy-duty sealing, coatings resistant to weathering and chemical attack.
Industrial equipment — hose covers, rollers, conveyor components, seals for hydraulic equipment or corrosive environments.
Because of its wide temperature range, chemical resistance, and environmental stability, CSM often outperforms more common elastomers (like EPDM) for demanding applications.
Why Choose YQXPOLYMER CSM Over the Rest
We offer a complete CSM suite — from soft to high-viscosity grades — to meet diverse application demands, whether for flexible seals or heavy-duty hoses.
Our CSM is a true Hypalon® alternative, filling the global supply gap after original Hypalon® production ceased.
We support global supply with full compliance (REACH, RoHS), technical data sheets (TDS), and offer raw gum, pre-compounded, or thermoplastic sheet formats.
With robust chemical, weather, flame, and mechanical resistance — plus wide operating temperature range — our CSM grades provide long-term reliability and performance under harsh conditions.
