The 45-hour NAC course is approved to meet the Overview of Child Care Management (OCCM) course requirement for the initial Florida Director Credential, providing aspiring childcare leaders with a practical pathway toward meeting this component of the state's director qualification process.
As childcare programs continue to face increasing operational demands, directors are expected to possess strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills alongside their knowledge of early childhood education. The same NAC course cannot be reused across every Florida credentialing pathway, allowing participants to plan how they apply their coursework most effectively.
