Once again, Newton Shows is partnering with the Merrick Chamber of Commerce to present its 29th annual Kids Fest community carnival from Friday to Sunday, April 24-26.

Every year, the Kids Fest carnival helps raise money to provide scholarships to students with special needs from the three high schools in the Bellmore-Merrick School District. The proceeds also help with the chamber’s networking meeting and lighting for their holiday festival.

“Working with Mike and the Newton organization is such a pleasure to work with,” said Ira Reiter, President, Merrick Chamber of Commerce and Chairman, Kids Fest. “We’re always on the same page and they can always be reached for whatever reason.”

The complete dates and times for the event are as follows:

Friday, April 24 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 29th Annual Kids Fest will feature extraordinary rides, vendors, games and food. Some of the rides that will be at this event include Slide, Expo Wheel, Super Shot, Tokyo Drift, Alien Abduction, Dragon Wagon, Wacky Shack, Puppy Roll, Frog Hopper, and Rock Star. In addition, there will be a children’s magic and illusion show on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a business expo featuring chamber members.

The carnival will be held at the Merrick LIRR Parking Lot. Parking and admission are free.
