In 2023, the agency secured a 1.35 million dollar agreement with Desjardins Group to support the recruitment and integration of newcomers to Canada. Viel recently drew upon these regional successes when testifying before the Canadian Parliament's International Trade Committee in April 2026, where he advised federal policymakers on trade diversification and strengthening commercial relations with Africa.

Viel brings considerable international standing to the three-day programme across London, having been named a Knight of the National Order of Merit of the French Republic in July 2022. His participation in the forum will focus on translating regional economic policies into actionable export strategies, ensuring that Canadian businesses can successfully navigate shifting international regulations and identify new avenues for global expansion.
