Frankfurt Germany, 28th November, Gallery at Skyline Plaza Frankfurt
This year's European travel exhibition, initiated by IWPG, took place in Frankfurt for the first time. In a very modern show room in the heart of the Skyline Plaza shopping center, the collected pictures from 6 years of ILPAC (International Loving Peace Art Competition) were presented, accompanied by a thoughtfully designed and engaging program
ILPAC is an annual art competition organized by IWPG. Children aged 7-18 take part and paint pictures on the theme of peace, depicting how they imagine a world in complete peace. The awards ceremony takes place at national level and then at international level in December.
In addition to a painting corner for children, there were great enriching discussion rounds for the guests in which they exchanged ideas about how to bring peace into everyday life.
Everyone agreed also that we need to be role models for the children as to become peace messengers. During the conversations, many practical ideas emerged on how a lived culture of peace can be integrated into family life, daily routines, and the community.
The exchange was inspiring and motivated everyone to continue participating in upcoming initiatives.
After the Exchange the guests had the Chance to connect and share their impressions of the artworks.
Many parents also expressed how valuable it was to experience the exhibition together with their children. They realised peace is not just something abstract but a culture that must be lived, taught, and shared.
By showcasing children’s visions of peace, IWPG hopes to remind communities and families that peace begins in everyday actions, in family relationships, and in the values we pass on to the next generation.
The exhibition aims to encourage dialogue, inspire responsibility, and build a network of individuals who actively contribute to peace in their surroundings.
The atmosphere was very uplifting, and you could feel that everyone came together with the same desire for peace. This was also made clear by the participatory activity at the end, during which guests wrote their own messages of peace
Thanks to the strong support of the location management, volunteers, and colleagues, this was only possible in the first place, and we thank every single visitor who made this evening unforgettable.
One of the guests, a well-known German Artist, stated: “The Message of Peace is bigger than the darkness. If you light a candle in a dark room there is light”.
All guests emphasized that the way the drawings were displayed truly tells a story and that they want to keep in touch with us.
Only when we come together we can discover common values and thereby make a culture of peace tangible. The children show us what it means to think big and that it pays to work for a better future.
Next year, IWPG wants to highlight women’s voices even more strongly and contribute to the rapid spread of a culture of peace.
