Further complications have emerged from Lemelle’s verified LinkedIn account, where a post published under an alias referred to her as a “client” of her own agency.

Beverly Hills, CA – Dr. Marie Y. Lemelle, President of the Beverly Hills Black Chamber of Commerce and a veteran in entertainment public relations, is facing increased scrutiny following a series of published reports questioning her digital ethics, business transparency, and leadership conduct. Investigations by The Inscriber Magazine, Patch Beverly Hills, and The CineTalk have raised credible concerns that now place her professional integrity under the spotlight.

Among the most pressing issues is the confirmed removal of negative reviews from several of Lemelle’s businesses—Platinum Star Public Relations, Pitbull PR Agency, and others—after she allegedly contacted a former client who had left critical feedback. Yelp has acknowledged the removals, prompting public concern about the possible manipulation of online platforms to maintain a favorable image.
Further complications have emerged from Lemelle’s verified LinkedIn account, where a post published under an alias referred to her as a “client” of her own agency. Critics argue this may have been an intentional misrepresentation designed to confuse the public about her role and authority within her companies.
Public records also show that Lemelle operates multiple businesses registered in both California and Colorado, all listing her Glendale residence as the principal address. However, her local permit explicitly prohibits client interactions at that location, raising regulatory questions.
Additionally, Lemelle’s legal history includes involvement in at least 18 civil cases in Los Angeles County. While not all imply misconduct, the volume is considered concerning by professional observers.
“As mounting concerns challenge the core values of transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership, this situation highlights the critical need for unwavering integrity—especially within organizations entrusted with representing business communities,” industry experts say.
Despite the growing body of published evidence and concern from the small business community, an affiliate of the California Black Chamber of Commerce had no comment when contacted.

As watchdog groups continue to demand transparency, questions remain about the impact these revelations could have on Lemelle’s reputation, her client relationships, and her role as a trusted advocate for small and minority-owned businesses.
