“Match Point Promotions started with a specific problem,” The founder and owner, Shawn Winston, shares when asked about his business’s origin. “A friend of mine who was an assistant coach at the University of Iowa was looking for custom vibration dampeners for his team, but couldn't find a reliable supplier. The options were either generic, low-quality, or impossible to order in reasonable quantities.” In a classic entrepreneur story, they saw a gap in their industry and filled it.

As they’ve expanded their offerings, they’ve established a core mission: to fit teams and brands of all sizes with gear and swag that tell their story.

Shawn and his partners at Match Point are lifelong players, many with backgrounds coaching teams of their own. Their brand was born from a lack they felt as leaders. Using their experience on the court, they work with brands and clubs to design and deliver branded products that work for players and fans. Built for Teams, Made for Play
Generic tote bags, pens, or keychains with a logo weren’t enough for Shawn. While they mostly offer sports gear for tennis and pickleball, they also offer general items like rubber wristbands, cloth headbands, and luggage tags to build a strong team identity. A generic, generalist supplier can’t engineer and feel how their products will perform on the court. That’s what sets Match Point apart.
