Immersive Seasonal Programs Aim to Build Fluency and Cultural Confidence in Children Through Play, Creativity, and Real-World Interaction

BOULDER, CO — August 26, 2025 — Journey Language Center, a trusted name in immersive language education, has announced the launch of its brand-new Summer Kids' Language Camps in Boulder and Longmont. Designed specifically for children aged 6 to 12, these weeklong camps offer an engaging, in-person environment where young learners can explore new languages through games, music, storytelling, and hands-on cultural experiences.

With parents seeking more meaningful, screen-free summer enrichment options, Journey Language Center is responding with programs that blend fun and fluency. The camps will focus on conversational Spanish, French, and Japanese, with activities built around real-life scenarios like ordering food, shopping at a market, or introducing oneself—all tailored for young minds.

“We’re not just teaching vocabulary lists—we’re building cultural curiosity, confidence, and communication skills,” said a representative of Journey Language Center. “We believe that children learn best when they’re engaged in something real, something alive. These camps create that spark, whether they’re learning how to greet someone in French or singing a song in Spanish.”

Each camp runs Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon sessions available to fit family schedules. Group sizes are intentionally kept small, with 5 to 8 students per class, to ensure individual attention and active participation. The curriculum is designed by Journey’s certified language instructors, who bring years of classroom and global teaching experience.

While language immersion is the cornerstone of the program, the camps also incorporate art projects, cultural games, and outdoor activities to create a holistic learning environment. Whether a child is trying out their first Japanese phrases or already has a foundation in Spanish, the camps offer multiple entry points for different ages and experience levels.

Journey Language Center chose to expand its youth offerings after seeing growing interest from local families. With existing adult programs thriving across their Denver, Boulder, and Longmont locations, the move to introduce language education earlier in life was a natural step.

“Many of our adult students have told us they wish they had started learning languages earlier,” said the representative. “Now, we’re giving local kids the chance to start their language journey while they’re still young—when their brains are most receptive and their imaginations are wide open.”

Parents can choose from themed camp weeks such as “Spanish Safari,” “French Around the World,” or “Journey Through Japan,” each built to include both language skills and cultural exposure. These immersive experiences help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them—building not just language ability, but global awareness and empathy.

In addition to the new camps, Journey Language Center continues to offer its popular adult programs in Portuguese, Italian, German, Japanese, and ESL. The school remains committed to face-to-face instruction, believing strongly that real interaction creates deeper, lasting fluency.

As the demand for meaningful summer activities continues to grow, Journey Language Center’s kids’ camps offer a refreshing alternative: immersive language learning with a playful, human-centered touch.
