The study provides one of the first comprehensive snapshots of how businesses are using AI agents in practice — including the technologies, industries, use cases, costs, and timelines driving adoption.

The research shows that Python dominates the AI agent ecosystem, appearing in 52% of projects, while LangChain and Pinecone are emerging as key frameworks for orchestration and memory. On the application side, most AI agents are built for back-office automation (15.2%), customer support (14.8%), and marketing & sales tasks (17.6%).

In terms of budgets, the majority of projects cluster between $20–60/hour with timelines of one to three months, although rates range widely from $5/hour to $600/hour for specialized enterprise builds.

The dataset also reveals strong demand across industries, with marketing & sales leading, followed by enterprise software, healthcare, and finance. Geographically, nearly 40% of projects originated in the United States, underscoring the country’s role as the primary driver of AI agent adoption.
