Electric cars in India are growing fast. More models are already on the road and new
ones will arrive soon. This year is turning out to be a big one for EVs. They drive quietly, produce no pollution, and come with modern features that many drivers want. Best of all these EVs now come loaded with more features, smarter technology, and longer driving ranges, making them no less competitive.

Launched Electric Vehicles in India 2025

Hyundai Creta EV (Launched January 17)

Priced between Rs 18.02 lakh and Rs 24.69 lakh, the Creta EV offers two battery
options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The smaller battery delivers a range of about 420-
473 km while the larger one pushes the range up to 510 km on a single charge. The
electric motor produces between 135 PS and 171PS. Fast charging takes around 58
minutes from 10% to 80%.

Tata Harrier EV (Launched June 3)
The Harrier EV comes with two battery options: 65 kWh & 75 kWh. Prices range from
Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 30.23 lakh. The smaller battery offers a driving range of 538 km,
while the larger one goes up to 627 km. Power output varies from 238PS to 396PS in
the all-wheel-drive variant. Fast DC charging fills 20% to 80% battery in about 25
minutes.

MG Windsor EV Pro (Launched May 6)
The Windsor EV Pro is the top-spec variant introduced in 2025. Starting at Rs 17.24
lakh, it is powered by a 52.9 kWh lithium ion battery with a driving range of about 449
km. The motor produces 136 PS and 200 Nm torque. Charging fully on a 7.4 kW AC
charger takes about 9.5 hours, while fast charging via a 60 kW DC charger reaches
80% in roughly 50 minutes. It has front-wheel drive and a single speed automatic
transmission.

Kia Carens Clavis EV (Launched July 15)
Priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh, the Carens Clavis supports two battery
options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. It offers a range between 404 km and 490 km. The
motor puts out between 135 PS and 171 PS. Fast charging lets it go from 10% to
80% in about 39 minutes using a 100 kW DC charger.

New Electric Family SUVs Set to Hit Indian Roads Soon
Another two confirmed electric SUVs coming soon are the Mahindra XEV 9S and the
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. The XEV 9S will launch on November 27, 2025. It’s
Mahindra’s first 7-seater electric SUV built on the INGLO platform and will come with
two battery options, loaded with modern tech like a triple screen dashboard and a
panoramic sunroof. Maruti Suzuki’s e Vitara, unveiled earlier this year, will officially
launch on December 2, 2025. This pure electric SUV has a 61 kWh battery and claims
a range of over 500 km on a single charge. Both models offer spacious, tech-rich
electric SUVs ideal for Indian families.
