The Werribee builder says its fixed-price promise has never broken, even as a fresh wave of insolvencies sweeps Victoria's building industry.

More than 2,600 building companies have collapsed nationally since May 2023, and insolvencies are climbing again in 2026 as builders absorb sharp spikes in diesel, steel, cement and PVC pipe. A Master Builders Victoria survey found 63% of members are locked into fixed-price contracts with no way to pass those costs on, leaving many to eat the difference out of margin, or close altogether.
