Dayton, OH – The Dayton Knights of Columbus proudly announce the success of their Swing for Charity Golf Tournament on September 8, 2025. The event brought together golfers, sponsors, and community members for a day of fellowship and purpose, with proceeds benefiting the Military Order of the Purple Hearts (MOPH) in Ohio, supporting combat-wounded veterans and local KofC charities.
The official check presentation will take place on Friday, November 14 at 9am, at the Springboro Veterans Memorial, 187 Village Park Blvd, Springboro, OH 45066, where the Knights will unveil the donation amount and present it to MOPH representatives.
“This tournament reflects the heart of our mission — faith in action through service,” said Tournament Chairman Brad Duchein. “We’re deeply grateful to our sponsors and community partners for helping us honor and support our veterans in such a meaningful way, especially during the week our nation recognizes those who served.”
Springboro Mayor John Agenbroad, a Purple Heart recipient, added:
“As a veteran and Purple Heart recipient, I’m deeply moved by the generosity of the Dayton Knights of Columbus and the citizens who made this possible. It’s inspiring to see our community come together to support those who’ve served and sacrificed so much for our freedom.”
The Dayton KofC extend sincere thanks to all sponsors, players, and volunteers who made the event a success. Their support exemplifies the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity that define the Knights’ ongoing service to veterans and the broader community.
