Sawantwadi, Maharashtra: KSR Global Aquarium has announced a new attraction for its 2026 season, expanding the family theme park's offerings as visitor numbers continue to grow across the Konkan region. The Kesari-based attraction, near Sawantwadi in Sindhudurg district, says the addition reflects sustained demand from families seeking more to see and do in a single visit.
Billed as India's first fish theme park, KSR Global Aquarium already combines a marine aquarium, a walk-through bird park, a butterfly and reptile dome, agro tourism, and adventure activities in one landscaped destination. The new attraction is designed to complement this existing mix rather than replace any current offering, giving returning visitors a fresh reason to plan another trip.
"We're constantly looking at what would genuinely add to a family's day here, not just add a new ticket line," said a spokesperson for KSR Global Aquarium. "Visitors keep telling us they want more reasons to spend a full day with us, and that's exactly what this addition is built around."
The attraction joins the park's existing lineup ahead of the 2026 peak season, which typically runs from October through March when weather conditions are most favourable for outdoor sightseeing across the wider Sindhudurg district. The park encourages visitors to plan ahead, particularly around weekends and holidays.
