Kesari, Maharashtra, India, 9 October 2026: KSR Global Aquarium at Kesari, near Sawantwadi in Sindhudurg district, is offering its agro theme park and attractions to schools and colleges as a single-day educational visit, combining eco agro tourism with aquatic, bird and butterfly exhibits at one site.
On the agro tourism side, students take part in hands-on farm work, planting, harvesting and tending animals, and join guided tours, workshops and demonstrations on agriculture, sustainable practices and rural life. Sessions cover traditional farming methods and indigenous crafts, and farm-to-table meals are prepared from locally grown produce.
The rest of the park extends the day into natural science. The two-storey aquarium is divided into freshwater, marine and brackish sections, with jungle, biotope and Amazon zones, and species including discus and giant red-tailed catfish. The walk-through bird park moves from emu, golden pheasant and geese to an exotic birds enclosure with macaws, lories and sun conures. The Dome of Colors, the park's butterfly house, features butterflies and moths of the Western Ghats, a range that holds 334 butterfly species, 215 of them found in Maharashtra, along with reptiles and small animals. Visitors can also hand-feed koi and goldfish at the fish feeding pond.
Kesari sits close to Parpoli, known as the Butterfly Village of India, and about 3 km from Danoli on the Sawantwadi side of Amboli Ghat, which places the park within a day's travel of schools across Sindhudurg, Kolhapur and Goa.
Entry is Rs 100 for adults and Rs 50 for children, with adventure activities charged separately. Tickets can be booked online.
