From being the first printing company in India to use ink formulation software, to installing the first Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 104 in Northern India, Kumar Printers has built its printing services around a single discipline: colour accuracy and surface quality that holds at volume, across every reorder, without exception.
Manesar, Haryana | August 2026
There is a version of B2B printing services that most brands are familiar with: a supplier who quotes well, delivers a good first batch, and then drifts on colour, surface consistency, or lead time by the third reorder. The relationship becomes one of constant correction rather than consistent production.
Kumar Printers Pvt. Ltd. was built on a different premise. Over six decades of continuous investment in printing technology, colour management infrastructure, and process discipline have produced a printing supplier whose output is measurably consistent across runs, press operators, and years. That consistency is not claimed. It is certified, documented, and independently audited on every batch that leaves the facility.
A Printing Technology History That Defined Industry Standards
The story of Kumar Printers as a printing services provider is inseparable from its history of technology adoption, which has repeatedly preceded the industry rather than followed it.
In 1995, Kumar Printers became the second company in India to use a spectrophotometer for colour measurement, and the first printing company in the country to deploy ink formulation software. These were not common practices. They were decisions made by a leadership team that understood, years before the broader industry, that colour consistency at scale required scientific measurement rather than operator judgment. Both tools are now standard across the printing industry. Kumar Printers was using them when almost nobody else was.
That same instinct drove the decision to invest in the Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 104 in 2022, making Kumar Printers the first installation of this press in Northern India. The Speedmaster CX 104 achieves high print quality at a faster speed, and its strength lies in the production of specialised packaging printing for premium market segments with high-quality standards. The press runs seven colours plus UV coating at up to 15,000 sheets per hour, with the Prinect Image Control 4 system performing spectral scanning and real-time colour correction on every sheet during the run. The next-generation CX 104 press has a fully loaded AI-driven operation that speeds up make-ready, reduces waste, minimises operator interference, and increases OEE.
The Proman Prinect software, installed alongside the press, created a fully digital reporting system for the press room, connecting job data, colour data, and production metrics in a single management environment. Kumar Printers recently installed the Proman Prinect software to create the digital reporting system for the press room.
Offset Printing: The Core of Every Production Run
Offset printing is the foundation of Kumar Printers' production capability. Every folding carton, rigid box wrap, corrugated litho-laminate, and blister card printed at the Manesar facility runs through offset, a process that delivers the colour fidelity, substrate versatility, and per-unit economics that B2B printing services at volume demand.
The economics of offset printing for B2B clients are well established. At production speeds of 15,000 sheets per hour, the cost per unit on mid-to-large runs is substantially lower than any alternative. Setup time is longer than digital printing, typically around 45 minutes per job, but for brands ordering above 5,000 units, the per-unit cost advantage of offset is significant and compounds with every reorder.
Digital Printing: The Right Tool for the Right Job
Kumar Printers understands digital printing in its proper commercial context. Digital printing sets up in approximately 10 minutes per job and runs at around 4,000 sheets per hour, making it the correct technology for short runs, versioning, and variable data applications typically below 4,000 units where setup cost per unit on offset would be disproportionate.
For brands managing multiple SKUs with varying volumes, promotional runs, or new product launches where minimum commitment needs to stay low, digital printing offers flexibility that offset cannot match at those quantities. Kumar Printers is transparent about this distinction and advises clients on the right technology for their specific brief and volume, rather than defaulting to a single process for every job.
Foil Stamping: Precision Finishing That Defines Premium Packaging
Foil stamping is one of the most technically demanding finishing processes in packaging, and one of the most commercially impactful. Applied correctly, it communicates luxury, quality, and brand authority at the moment of first contact. Applied inconsistently, it undermines everything the design intended.
At Kumar Printers, foil stamping is executed using hot foil as a standard technique across rigid box, folding carton, and premium box printing applications. The process bonds metallic or pigmented foil to the board surface under heat and pressure, producing the mirror-like reflectance that cold foil and metallic ink cannot fully replicate.
The technical discipline required for high-quality foil stamping at production volume lies in registration. The foil must align precisely with the underlying print and any embossed or debossed elements in the design. Kumar Printers has developed custom-engineered combined foiling and embossing tools for clients including Gurkha and Guns Whisky, where a highly detailed brand emblem required 3D embossing and foiling executed in a single pass to achieve perfect registration at production speed.
This is what foil stamping and premium finishing capability looks like when it is integrated into a complete printing services operation rather than offered as a standalone add-on.
What the Industry Has Recognised
The PrintWeek Innovative Printer of the Year award, won by Kumar Printers in both 2024 and 2025, is judged specifically on the quality and technical execution of printed packaging work, not on company size, revenue, or brand recognition. Back-to-back wins in the Paper, Paperboard and Corrugated category are a direct endorsement of printing quality and innovation by a jury of industry professionals.
The National Award for Excellence in Printing, the only printing industry award in India supported by the Government of India through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, recognises outstanding print quality across independently submitted entries. Kumar Printers has received this recognition, placing it among a small group of operations whose printing output has been independently validated as excellent by the most rigorous standards available in the domestic industry.
Looking Forward
Kumar Printers continues to invest in its printing infrastructure. The current press room capability, anchored by the Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 104 and supported by the full Prinect digital workflow, positions the company to serve the growing demand for premium printing services in the cosmetics, alcove, garment, and personal care categories, all of which the Managing Director Sandeep Bhargava identified as primary growth markets at the time of the CX 104 installation.
For brands evaluating a new printing supplier or a new B2B printing services partner for folding cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated packaging, or blister cards, Kumar Printers offers free structural design consultation, physical sampling on all new briefs, GMI-certified colour standards documentation, and certification records across ISO, BRC IOP, FSC, and Sedex on request before any production commitment is made.
