Lakewood Animal Hospital announced today that it is temporarily pausing new client appointments due to high demand and current team capacity. The full-service companion animal hospital, located at 36097 Goodwin Dr. in the Marketplace at Lake of the Woods shopping center, made the decision to ensure it can continue providing the level of care existing patients and their families have come to expect.

The hospital said the pause is intended to be a short-term measure, with new client appointments expected to reopen by the end of summer. During this time, Lakewood Animal Hospital will continue caring for its current patients without interruption, maintaining its regular hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Importantly, the pause applies specifically to new client appointments and does not affect urgent care. Pet owners in need of urgent veterinary attention, whether or not they are established clients, are still welcome to call the hospital directly to be seen.
