Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh — December 2025:
India’s emerging literary voice, Ananya Singh Suryavanshi, a young writer based in Barabanki, UttarPradesh, has been honored with the internationally recognized “21st Century Emily Dickinson Award 2025”—a distinction awarded by the Annual Poetry Society of America under The Writer Magazine/Emily Dickinson Award category.
This award, known globally for celebrating poetic excellence rooted in emotional depth and originality, marks a remarkable milestone in Ananya’s early literary journey. Receiving this recognition for a debut poetry book positions her among the most promising young poets of the new generation.
Ananya’s upcoming book captures the delicate interplay of feelings, resilience, inner questioning, and the silent strength carried in human experiences. Her writing blends expressive Hindi verse with a universally relatable emotional tone, allowing the work to resonate across borders.
Critics and reviewers note that her poetic voice reflects a rare maturity and sensitivity, often compared to classical emotional storytelling yet framed in a modern, youthful expression.
Speaking about receiving the award, Ananya shared:
“To be recognized at an international platform at the very beginning of my journey feels surreal. This award strengthens my belief in the power of heartfelt poetry and inspires me to keep writing for readers who find pieces of themselves in my words.”
With this achievement, Ananya Suryavanshi becomes one of the few young Indian writers from small-town India to gain global acknowledgment from a respected literary institution and one of America’s oldest poetry societies.
Her debut book, launch in this December, is expected to draw strong attention from poetry enthusiasts, reviewers, and global literary circles.
