Lolo Vandal completed ORU's Caring Loving All Youth facilitator course, integrating its tools into music practice to mentor youth, build confidence leadership and sustainable programs.

Lolo Vandal has completed the Facilitator: Caring Loving All Youth Student Leadership course at Oral Roberts University. This training sharpens the skills he already brings to his music and gives him a clear framework to deepen his mission of using song and performance to nurture young people’s confidence and self expression.

The course strengthened Lolo’s ability to listen deeply and lead with empathy and it enhanced how he connects with young people through music. He learned practical techniques for creating environments where students feel comfortable taking creative risks and he gained a repeatable facilitation framework he can apply when mentoring teaching or collaborating with community partners.

Rather than launching formal workshops immediately Lolo plans to integrate the course tools into his everyday practice. He will use short informal moments during rehearsals and community appearances to help young people try writing a verse or perform a short piece. By modeling vulnerability and craft through his own songs and performances he will turn music into a living example of the skills the course reinforced.

The ORU credential also gives Lolo recognized credibility and a practical language for future collaboration. That recognition will make it easier to discuss potential partnerships with schools churches and community groups and to propose structured care centered programs when opportunities arise. It also positions him to negotiate paid sessions private lessons or local gigs that align with his mission.

Balance is central to Lolo’s plan for creating a sustainable music and mentorship practice. He will maintain a steady rhythm of teaching writing and recording so neither role overwhelms the other. Early steps include collecting short testimonials sharing student stories and reinvesting modest earnings into recordings and promotion.

Over time a few recordings occasional showcases and a growing roster of young artists will form the foundation of a lasting practice that blends artistry with service. The ORU course did not change Lolo’s purpose so much as give it clearer shape and he now has the language structure and confidence to align his musical gifts with a lasting commitment to young people.

Each song he writes and each young voice he helps lift will be a step toward the future he is building.
