Whistleblower Lorena Pino Exposes North Bergen Luxury-Car Rental Scam —
Edgewater Couple Indicted and Still Targeting Victims Across the U.S.

As reported by NJ.com – “A con man’s luxury car scam was ruining lives, she said. Then she
took him down.”

North Bergen, NJ – October 2025 – After years of relentless investigation and advocacy, New
Jersey whistleblower and marketing executive Lorena Pino has been credited with helping expose
and bring to justice the masterminds behind the “Fast & Furious” luxury-car scam.
The elaborate fraud, operated under the name Imperial Exotic Cars, was based in North Bergen,
NJ, and led by Braden Tyson Brown and Bozena Kolc, a couple who lived in Edgewater.
Together they orchestrated multi-million-dollar schemes that defrauded investors, banks, and private
clients through fake contracts, stolen vehicles, and falsified financing documents.
Operating under the guise of a high-end exotic-car rental and investment business, Brown and Kolc
lured victims—including hip-hop artists, single mothers, and entrepreneurs—with promises of
shared profits from rentals of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Bentleys. Many vehicles were borrowed
or rented under false pretenses or financed using fraudulent paperwork.
“They built an empire on deception,” said Pino. “They used luxury to manipulate — cars they
didn’t even own — to build credibility and attract money. But every contract, every promise, was a
lie.”
Victims across New Jersey and New York lost hundreds of thousands each, with total losses
reaching into the millions. Financial institutions were also defrauded through falsified vehicle titles
and loan applications.
Following a four-year investigation by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Brown and
Kolc were indicted on more than 35 counts including theft by deception, money laundering, and
conspiracy. The indictments — reported by NJ.com — followed years of evidence gathering and
victim advocacy led by whistleblower Lorena Pino.
Despite the indictments, Brown and Kolc have continued to engage in similar deceptive
practices, according to new victim reports and public records. Operating under fresh aliases and
social-media handles, the couple have been connected to additional luxury-rental and investment
scams targeting artists, parents, and small business owners across multiple states.
“Even after being indicted, they’re still trying to reinvent themselves online,” said Pino.
“That’s why awareness is so important — people need to know their faces and their methods before
more lives are destroyed.”
Pino continues to track these activities, working closely with journalists, law enforcement, and other
victims to prevent further financial exploitation and to advocate for stronger consumer protection
laws.
“I wasn’t just fighting for myself,” Pino said. “I was fighting for every person who trusted them
— every artist, every mother, every investor who was manipulated. Justice had to be served.”
Today Lorena Pino continues her work as a victim-advocacy and fraud-awareness leader, using her
platform to educate the public on how organized fraud rings exploit luxury markets, social media,
and financial systems. Her story proves that one person’s persistence can dismantle an entire
criminal network — and keep others from falling victim to the same traps.
